The Jacktown Allstar Band is set to take over Halftime during the NLFA's Championship Game.

You read the headline's correctly; this year's halftime performance will be brought to you by THE Jacktown Allstar Band. 

The Jacktown AllStar Band (JAB), based in Jackson, Mississippi, is an elite marching band organization focused on youth development, musical excellence, leadership, and collegiate preparation. Founded by inaugural Tougaloo College Band Director Jonathan Garland, JAB operates under a culture of “Executive Discipline,” training middle school, high school, and collegiate alumni musicians to perform with professionalism, precision, and community pride. 


Organizational Highlight


• Historic Collegiate Partnership – In 2025, JAB partnered with Tougaloo College in support of the institution’s marching band development and student recruitment initiatives.


• Rapid Growth & Regional Talent – JAB has expanded to more than 70 performers representing schools and communities across Mississippi, including Pearl, Canton, Hinds County, Jackson Public Schools, and surrounding areas.


• Community Recognition – JAB has been recognized alongside city leadership, including Mayor John Horhn, for its continued impact on youth engagement, music education, and community involvement.


Operational Overview
JAB operates as a fully self-sustaining organization, providing its own instrumentation, uniforms, transportation coordination, and operational support.

The band will not only play through-out the game but will take the field in what is sure to be a dynamic half time performance.
